Daniel Hyun Lim
Born in South Korea and raised in the United States from the age of five, Daniel Hyun Lim built a dynamic career at the intersection of art and entertainment. With a distinctive style and versatile skillset, he has become a sought-after storyboard and concept artist, known for bringing stories to life across genres and platforms.
Daniel graduated with High Honors in Illustration from the Art Center College of Design (BFA, 2003) and later earned his MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts (2006). Initially focused on editorial work, he discovered his true passion in the collaborative energy of film and television, guiding his path toward visual storytelling.
A defining moment came with his collaboration with legendary filmmaker Robert Zemeckis on Pinocchio—an experience that solidified his love for storyboarding and opened the door to high-profile projects throughout the industry.
His portfolio includes collaborations with major studios such as CBS, Disney, DreamWorks, Apple, Blizzard, Riot Games, Netflix, Paramount, and Universal. Credits range from Goosebumps, Homecoming, Star Trek: Discovery, Strange New Worlds, and Picard to The Orville, See, Atlas, We Can Be Heroes, The Witches, and Pinocchio.
