Born and raised in South Korea, Daniel Hyun Lim relocated to Los Angeles, where he built a dynamic career at the intersection of art and entertainment. With a distinctive style and versatile skillset, Daniel has established himself as a sought-after storyboard and concept artist, known for bringing stories to life across genres and platforms.
Daniel graduated with High Honors in BFA Illustration from the Art Center College of Design in 2003 and earned his MFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in 2006. Initially focused on editorial work, he found his true passion in the collaborative energy of film and television production, steering his artistic path toward visual storytelling.
A defining moment in his career came when he collaborated with legendary filmmaker Robert Zemeckis on the feature Pinocchio. That project solidified his love for storyboarding and opened doors to high-profile work across the industry.
Daniel’s portfolio includes collaborations with major studios such as CBS, Disney, DreamWorks, Apple, Blizzard, Riot Games, Netflix, Paramount, and Universal. His credits span a wide range of notable projects including Goosebumps, Homecoming, Star Trek: Discovery, Strange New Worlds, Picard, The Orville, See, Atlas, We Can Be Heroes, The Witches, and Pinocchio.
